Sunset Lodge has proudly served Venice Beach, Santa Monica, West LA and the surrounding areas for more than a century. Today, we are a young and dynamic lodge, featuring a culturally diverse membership base. Our members come from all religions, creeds and ways of life. Their common bond is character, a desire to improve themselves through the teachings of Freemasonry, and a wish to benefit their families and communities.

Sunset Lodge has a very close relationship with Ocean Park Chapter #245 Order of the Eastern Star and Santa Monica Bay Chapter #97 Royal Arch Masons International. Both of these fine organizations meet regularly at our lodge, with many of our members supporting their various activities.

Sunset is a family oriented lodge, including our wives and significant others in a wide range of activities. We are a hard working but laid back lodge, with a core of highly talented individuals – many from the arts community. This has infused our lodge with a lot of character, to the benefit of all.

Sunset Lodge is also a progressive lodge. In the past ten years, we have established a reputation for creating innovative programs such as Solvitur Ambulando, our Masonic and general interest philosophy club that meets monthly, and at which members of our lodge give talks on their various interest of study. Our lodge is renown for our Masonic Education activities, with a number of other lodges in California now modeling programs after those that first took root in our lodge.

Owing to the success of our lodge, we have active membership growth. Our lodge performs a number of degrees each month as we advance our candidates toward the Sublime degree of Master Mason. Our officers are committed to the highest standards of ritual work.

Our lodge meets on Tuesday evenings at 7:30 PM. Our Stated Meetings are held on the first Tuesday of every month, commencing with dinner served at 6:30 PM followed by the business meeting at 7:30 PM.
